I posted a while ago about my chunky weight project and here it is! This scarf/wrap is a quick and beautiful project knit up in chunky (bulky) weight yarn, and accented with two simple three strand cable braids.
5 skeins Brown Sheep Company Burly Spun Wool - 8oz 132 yards each
Stitch Markers (Optional for marking cable sections)
Size 11 24" or larger circular needles
Gauge - 9 stitches 16 rows = 4"x4"
YFS1K - with yarn in front, slip 1 knitwise YBS1P - with yarn in back, slip 1 purlwise C6F - slip 3 stitches purlwise onto your cable needle, hold in front of your work, knit 3 stitches your from left needle then knit the three from your cable needle. C6B - slip 3 stitches purlwise onto your cable needle, hold to the back of your work, knit 3 stitches from your left needle, knit three from your cable needle
CO 69 (I prefer the long tail CO method)
Set up row 1 as follows if you want stitch markers for the cable sections.
